I'm Back

Hmm...Let me count...1, 2, 3, oh man, it has been more than a month since I posted my last entry...paiseh paiseh.

What's my internship like: well, a real eye opener on what's auditing is about - lots of hard work is being done in the planning and substantive testing stage and of course, late nights are included during the peak period.

Nevertheless, it was an enriching experience and now it's the time to hit the books in one day's time.

The Finals

I had not posted anything for about 2 weeks now, and now have the time to write my reflections.

I should say that it had been a self-enrinching weeks as I had learnt a lot about the manufacturing industry and the steps involved in vouching and testing of details of the transactions. Well, we are approaching the final audit for next few weeks before the end of my internship. I just learnt that I'll be involved in final audit for 2 more companies - one in the CBD area and the other in Jurong East. We'll be on the move all the time as we need to meet the deadline quickly and expect late night sleeps. Nevertheless, it will be the best time to acquire an in-depth knowledge of audit.

Cheers

An Enjoyable Day

Phew...it was hard work today as I've to take care of my little friend, Devan. Devan is a boy whom my mum takes care of him at a child care centre. I should say that he is hyper active and you need energy to follow him whenever he goes as he keeps running and walking around the house. But, if you show a video of the children's show, Barney, he would sit on a chair quietly and concentrate on the show. Oh yah, i almost forgot, he loves Barney.

Anyway, he had returned home with his parents. Going to miss his energetic runs, laughter and tantrums...hee...

What's my new year resolution: well, to work hard and score good grades and leave it to fate...that's all.

Merry Christmas

Jingle Bells...Jingle Bells...Jingle all the way...christmas is approaching and orchard road is filled with Singaporeans, foreign talents and tourists absorbing the christmas spirit, despite an erratic weather.

In the midst of shopping and hanging out with frens, a question pops into my mind: "What's the meaning of christmas? Is it all about buying gifts and exchanging it with their frens, carolling in a group, asking for donations, acting as santa and rubbing his belly and take photos with the children, or going to the church to celebrate the birth of christ?"

The reason behind asking this question was not because I do not like christmas (I love it, truly) but it is just that I was wondering do all of us really know the meaning of this festival. This is a question I hope I've an answer to.

Finally...

Phew...finally there's a long weekend for me to look forward to. For the past few days, i've been busy auditing by testing the company's controls and the work keeps flowing in. Still, I feel that this is a good time to learn, especially to build up my confidence in speaking to "strangers" and not to incur their wrath..haha...

All rite...need to take a break now and to be refreshed for a brand new day...

Cheers

Let us take one minute of silence...

"This statute is in memory of the thousands of NSF and NS Men who could not do pull up and have to remain hanging onto the chin up bar."
